BIG WIL, William Jackson, was a Foster child ward of the court until age 18. Wil was abandoned by his natural parents, grew up on the street, was adopted and graduated from the School for Creative and Performing Arts.
He does hip hop with an attitude. Music is his life and everyday, Wil works on his music.
Since the release of The Ultimate Controversy in 2005, Wil has filmed seven videos from his catalogue. The video of Strugglebaby won the Blue Chip Award in 2006 for Best Musical Performance. Pain, the video, won a 2007 Philo Regional Broadcast Competition Award. Wil's music and videos are posted and viewed regularly on YouTube, MySpace and BlackPlanet.com. In this current portfolio, WiI demonstrates his strength as an artist and visual talent. He performs frequently around the city and was a finalist in the Urban Idol competition here in Cincinnati.
